The Second Edition of the National Conference on Force Spectroscopy and Microscopy will be held at a beautiful village in the western ghats between Mumbai and Pune. This conference aims to unite diverse groups of people using force spectroscopy and microscopy measurement in their research. From biological materials such as lipids, cells, proteins and tissues to materials and tribology research, force measurement at the scale of pN to nN has become indispensable. The conference will discuss various scientific and technical advances at this frontier of science.

Getting to IISER Pune Guest House
Travel Information for Conference Attendees
From Pune Airport (Lohegaon): Lohegaon Airport is approximately 17 km from IISER Pune. You can hire a cab to the IISER Pune Guest House for around ₹450.
From Pune Junction Railway Station: Pune Junction is about 11 km from IISER Pune. A cab ride to the IISER Pune Guest House will cost approximately ₹250.
From Mumbai International Airport: Mumbai International Airport is 150 km from IISER Pune. The journey typically takes 3-4 hours. You have two options for travel:
Private or Shared Cab: The fare is approximately ₹2500.
Train: Take a train from a nearby railway station to Pune Junction.
By Bus: If you are arriving in Pune by bus, your stop will likely be one of the following:
Pune Station
The Orchid Hotel
University Circle (for buses from Mumbai)
From any of these stops, you can easily take an auto-rickshaw to reach IISER Pune.
Local Arrangements: We will arrange transportation for guests from the IISER Pune Guest House to the conference venue and back.

Accommodations
We encourage the students to check the following link (Affordable alternatives) out and choose a hotel in the locality of IISER Pune. A good room usually costs around ~ ₹1000 - 1500. This links will list the hotels that fit the budget and are closest to the IISER Pune campus.
